Cosmetic Dentistry in Prospect
A brighter, more confident smile can make a significant difference to how you feel about yourself. At Prospect Dental, we offer cosmetic treatments such as aligners, resin bonding, professional teeth whitening and veneers to help improve the appearance of stained, worn, chipped or uneven teeth.
During your consultation, your dentist will assess your teeth, discuss your goals and explain the treatment options available so you can make an informed decision about enhancing your smile.
Veneers
Veneers are thin coverings placed over the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. Depending on the situation, they will be made of either porcelain or composite resin.
They may be used to address:
- Discoloured teeth
- Chipped teeth
- Worn teeth
- Minor gaps between teeth
- Uneven tooth shapes
- Teeth that appear too small or irregular
Veneers can be an excellent option for selected patients seeking cosmetic improvements while maintaining a natural appearance.
During your consultation, your dentist will discuss whether veneers are an appropriate option for your situation and explain the advantages, limitations and long-term maintenance requirements.
Professional Teeth Whitening
Professional teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten your smile and remove many of the stains that naturally develop over time. Common causes of tooth staining include coffee, tea, red wine, smoking, certain foods and drinks, and the natural ageing process. At Prospect Dental, we offer both take-home whitening and Zoom in-chair whitening. Your dentist can help determine which option is most suitable for your needs.
Take-Home Teeth Whitening
Take-home whitening is a popular option for patients who prefer to whiten their teeth gradually in the comfort of their own home.
Custom-made whitening trays are fabricated to fit your teeth comfortably and precisely. Whitening gel is placed into the trays and worn for approximately 30–45 minutes per day over a two-week period.
Many patients appreciate the flexibility of take-home whitening, as they can control the pace of treatment and perform touch-up whitening in the future. Once your custom trays have been made, they can be retained and reused, with additional whitening gel available as required.
Take-home whitening: $450
Whitening gel refill: $50
Zoom In-Chair Teeth Whitening
Zoom whitening is a professional-grade whitening treatment completed in a single appointment at the clinic.
A high-concentration whitening gel is carefully applied to the teeth and activated using a specialised LED light. Treatment typically involves four 15-minute whitening cycles and is completed in approximately one hour.
Zoom whitening is often chosen by patients looking for a faster result before a wedding, holiday, special event or important occasion.
Zoom in-chair whitening: $750
Combination Whitening Package
For patients seeking the best possible result, a combination of Zoom whitening and take-home whitening may be recommended. This approach combines the immediate results of in-chair whitening with the ability to further refine and maintain the colour at home.
Combined Zoom and take-home whitening package: $1,000
Teeth Whitening or Veneers?
The most appropriate treatment depends on your goals and the condition of your teeth. Teeth whitening may be suitable if your primary concern is tooth colour and staining. Veneers may be considered where there are concerns regarding tooth shape, size, wear, chipping or cosmetic issues that cannot be addressed through whitening alone. In some situations, whitening may be completed in conjunction with veneers to help achieve the best overall result.
